PRECIOUS
The title of the movie we watched this time is entitled Precious. She was expelled from her school due to her pregnancy. Her junior high school principal arranges to have her attend an alternative school, which she hopes can help Precious change her life's direction. Precious is determines to change her life because she do not like the life she is having with her mother. She felt all the pain and difficulties at home and also the environment. The teacher in the alternative school, Miss Blu Rain helps her to learn to read. Precious in the end learns how to read and write. The movies ends with Precious determined to take care of her two children in a very young age. It is a sad story yet tells the audience that no matter how hard life is, there is always a way to come out from it. Such an interesting story to be watch.
CHALK.
This time it was more of a documentary about some teachers in a school and how they manage their school and students. It gave me some idea of the real teacher teaching in a school. The first person we were introduced to was a History teacher who was struggling to get the students to participate. The teacher never looked confident at the start of the documentary. In order to change, the first teacher learns about class management by reading up books in the library. He overcome the problem by using different method to attract the students attention. In the end he manages to handle the class well.
The second teacher is a Physical Education (PE) teacher who is a lady. She only had one reason to come to school that is to be a dedicated PE teacher. At the end of the documentary, she says that everyone is different and sensitive. She needs to understand other peoples feeling and be tolerant. The third teacher always wants to be famous and in the end he lost in the election. This thing makes him angry. He became selfish. Another person is a lady who is the assistant principal. She was a teacher before she was promoted. She is in a lot pressure. Everyone comes to her when there is a problem. Once, she gets the promotion, she always gets back home late. All the experience that they share to the audience make me think about the real obstacle we face in school. Each and every one of us has weaknesses, but as time goes by, we will change to be a better person. Never give up to improve.

Movie time again.
"Finding Forrester" is a very intelligent movie. It shows a sixteen year old Jamal Wallace (newcomer Rob Brown) and his friends ritually meet at the basketball court every day, releasing their concerns in a sport that frees their minds and invigorates their spirits. While at the very same moment, far above the court through a socially fissile window, the curious eyes of William Forrester (Sean Connery) look on. The boys are keenly aware that he may be watching, but they have no idea who he really is. One night on a dare, Jamal sneaks into the old man's apartment through the partially open window and after a quick exploration of his abode, accidentally leaves behind his backpack; inside rests his notebook full of writings. The next day, his pack is tossed to the street below. But to Jamal's shock, his notebook has been inundated with ink marks, some critical of his writing style, others captivated with the poetic meaning behind Jamal's conjoined words. He returns to the man's apartment (this time in a more practical manner, going to the front door), and asks him if he wouldn't mind offering his opinion on some of his other writings. After overcoming their initial hesitation in allowing each other into their lives, the two strangers finally break down the communication barriers and set the first building blocks of a lasting friendship in place. In my opinion, this movie would be enjoyed by writers. It sure will inspire all the writers out there. However, it is still a good experience to watch this type of movie.
FOLOW THE READER.
The fourth movie we watched entitled ‘Lean On Me’. It’s about how a principal (Morgan Freeman) makes changes to his school because he want the school to be a good and safe place to study. Morgan Freeman was a teacher in that particular school twenty years back and he left because of some issues and the school has become worse since. Morgan Freeman portrays himself as one strict man because he wants everyone to respect him as a principal. As a principal he has the right to change any rules that can help the school to become better. He change the student’s attitude and he give them a better perception towards education. It is a huge responsibility for a principal to manage a school. As a future teacher, we need to give our full commitment towards our job because students need our guide. So let us make some changes.
SPELL IT RIGHT.
We watched the third movie for this subject entitled, ‘Akeelah and the bee’. Inspiring movie showing hard work and passion make everything possible. This is a genuinely sweet and determinedly inspirational family film that features a charming young actress in the title role. It’s about an eleven old girl who has the capability to spell many difficult words. This movie shows that if there is determination there is a way. Akeelah is not interested in joining the spelling because she is afraid to be laugh. Practically the first time we meet Akeelah, she is contemptuously tossing away a flier advertising her school’s spelling bee. Unwilling to be label as a freak she prefers to keep her gift of spelling a secret from the world. However, she has the determination to join the spelling bee because of the support she gets from Dr. Larabee and peoples around her. She faces all the difficulties and try many ways to be good in spelling. I would recommend this movie to the students because it gives good message and lesson. Exciting movie to watch.
INSPIRING MOVIE
We watched the second movie for this subject during tutorial entitled, ‘The Ron Clark Story’. It is based on a true story. The Ron Clark Story follows the inspiring tale of an energetic, creative and idealistic young teacher who leaves his small North Carolina hometown to teach in a New York City public school. Through his passionate use of special rules for his classroom, highly innovative teaching techniques and an undying devotion to his students and helping them cope with their problems, Clark is able to make a remarkable difference in the lives of his students. This movie is a must watch movie especially for all the teachers. This movie inspired me in a way it made me to think of the approach I will use towards my students. As a good teacher, we must find a way to help the students. Nothing can stop us to be a good role model to the students because for some of them, they need our help to be success.
ARRANGE MARRIAGE?
ARRANGE MARRIAGE?
Dr. Jaya gave us an interesting topic to write for the position paper. Arrange marriage. Nowadays there are still family into arrange marriages. What is the proper definition of arranged marriage? An arranged marriage is a marriage that is established before involving oneself in a lengthy courtship, and often involves the arrangement of someone other than the persons getting married. Such marriages are relatively rare, but still numerous in the Middle East and parts of Africa and Asia. For me, I will prefer love marriage because we need to know the person deeply. It is a different feeling to choose your own soul mate because we know what we want from the person. However, people have their own right and reason to get involved in arranged marriage. Everyone wants the best for their life.
